Welcome to Trumbull County MetroParks

The mission of the Trumbull County MetroParks is to promote health, recreation, conservation, and economic development for residents and visitors by developing, preserving, and managing park properties.

Trumbull County MetroParks is made up of 6 parks and 17.8 miles of paved bike trail and 16 other properties in various stages of development ranging from natural areas to hunting areas. Trumbull County MetroParks also features many stops along the State Designated Mahoning River Water Trail.

Trumbull County MetroParks currently partners with many organizations that include: ODNR, ODOT, OEPA, Trumbull County Engineers Office, Trumbull County Planning Commission, Howland Township, USDA, US Army Corp of Engineers, along with a host of other partners and elected officials.

Clarence Darrow MetroPark

Clarence Darrow MetroPark is a popular recreation spot located across from the Kent State University Trumbull Campus in Champion Township. The park exhibits a surprisingly diverse landscape ranging from grassy fields and rolling hills to wooded flatland and deep stream banks, leaving several little environments to explore and study.
